Novak Djokovic is about to defend his Australian Open title after revealing he’s on his approach to Melbourne having secured a medical exemption to compete.

In an Instagram publish, Djokovic ended weeks of hypothesis, having declined to verify his Covid-19 vaccination standing, by confirming he had acquired a medical exemption and can be allowed to participate within the opening grand slam of 2022.

Based on Tennis Australia guidelines, all members should show they’re both totally vaccinated, or apply for and safe a medical exemption.

Djokovic, who shall be trying to win his twenty first main in Australia, withdrew from representing Serbia at this week’s ATP Cup in Sydney to proceed practising in Spain within the build-up to the Australian Open.
