Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex has spent much of this year laying low in Montecito, concentrating on raising her young family with Prince Harry and making only a handful of public appearances. All of that changed over the past few days at the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf – a sporting event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women founded by the Duke in 2014. The royal couple hopped between the games at the tournament, watching swimming one moment and basketball the next, so naturally Meghan packed a number of outfit changes.
The Duchess stuck to her post-palace, stealth luxury aesthetic, wearing tailored pieces by Gabriela Hearst and Carolina Herrera, all in a muted palette of earthy, neutral tones. There were preppy pieces, too, such as a white cable knit vest top by Ralph Lauren and a cream cardigan with black piping and gold buttons by J Crew. Meghan also threw several of her hardest working wardrobe items into her suitcase: her beloved Frame skinny jeans and Aquazzura pumps included.
