The adidas Athen – otherwise known as the Japanese Athen due to its original exclusivity to the East Asian Country – has been one of our latest archival 3-Stripe capsules. To deliver to our adi community, we have created a group of brightly coloured adidas silhouettes that nod to these rare Japanese exclusives, all fitting the mould for what makes adi trainers stand out from the rest. Super loud, here’s the next two iterations for the pack.
Both fitted with a soft suede upper – and accented with smooth leather – these streamlined silhouettes keep the formula simple; there’s no reason at all to change it. 3-Stripes and Trefoils, sticky rubber soles and suede overlays on the toe boxes – the Athen is a retro style that transcends time. Sticky grip underfoot gives you a confident stride, and throwback tongue really exaggerates the classic feel. What’s more, admire the printed branding on the soles for a final adi purist touch.
