Dolly Parton's Dollywood and the many Attractions, dinner theatres, outlet malls, shops, and restaurants in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Townsend, and Sevierville are within a short drive from Douglas Lake, and visitors to this area are recommended to make a day trip to Chattanooga, visit historic Lookout Mountain, the Ruby Falls, and enjoy a lunch and a memorable sightseeing cruise on the Tennessee River aboard the Southern Belle Riverboat.
