This area includes Five Islands, Jolly Harbour, Darkwood Beach, Cades Bay, Morris Bay, Curtain Bluff, and Carlisle Bay. Beaches in this area are outstanding even for Antigua, renowned worldwide, for it's 365 fabulous beaches.

One of Antigua's most scenic routes is Fig Tree Drive running from Liberta to Carlisle Bay. Lined with lush tropical vegetation and an abundance of fruit trees, including mango and banana, and passing old sugar mills and beautiful churches, Fig Tree Drive meanders through an area of steep hills and valleys.
