Built on the River Arno, Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance, is a vibrant city with it’s magnificent Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio over the Arno, museums, art galleries, superb restaurants and shops.

Umbria contrasts with manicured Tuscany, with a beauty of it’s own with the Tiber River valley meandering through heavily forested mountains and past hilltop and fortified medieval towns. No visit to Umbria is complete with spending time at Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, and Gubbio, with the lesser known towns of Trevi, Citti di Castello, Todi, Monterchi, Orvieto, and Montefalco famed for the excellent Sagrantino di Montefalco red wine.

The world famous Amalfi Coast follows the coastline from Sorrento to Salerno, and totally justifies it's claim to be Italy’s finest and most beautiful coastline. Backed by the wild and scenic grandeur of the Lattari Mountain range, the indented coastline offers incredible views, enchanting landscapes, and natural beauty second to none. With charming and picturesque fishing villages, luxuriant vegetation with a blend of lemon, orange, almond and olive trees, vineyards and Mediterranean flora, this area is an artist’s paradise and one of Europe’s most popular and renowned tourist destinations and enjoys a very mild climate.

Sorrento, the jewel in the crown, is a beautiful town in an incredible setting overlooking the Bay of Naples with views of Capri, Ischia, Naples, and Vesuvius. Ferries, hydrofoil, and motor boat crossings are available between Sorrento, Capri, Ischia, Salerno, Positano, and Naples.

Marche, boasting of 500 piazzas, over 1,000 monuments, 33 fortresses, 106 castles, 15 forts, 170 towers, more than 40 abbeys, thousands of churches, 163 sanctuaries, 34 archaeological sites, and 71 theatres is a unique province enjoying seafront facilities on 180 kilometres of coastline with many picturesque coves and beautiful beaches.

Calabria with it’s dramatic mountainous interior framed by a picturesque rugged coastline of over 800 kilometres, is one of Italy’s most beautiful provinces with the added bonus of many fabulous white sand beaches.

Sardinia, the second largest island in the Mediterranean, lies just 120 kilometres from the Italian mainland and just 12 kilometres from it’s neighbouring island of Corsica. Sardinia, a popular destination for visitors, enjoys a beautiful and varied coastline with promontories, and wide, deep bays surrounded by islets.

From the majestic views of Mount Etna, down to the coastal resorts, with gems such as Taormina on its hilltop, with tiny streets with superb shops and restaurants, an open-air Roman amphitheatre and select hotels, Sicily is an island of contrasts.
