Luxurious, leisurely and laid back, you can lose yourself in the comforts of the 17th century Great House bedrooms or in one of the spacious ocean and beach side Villas, each with its own large private plunge pool, and set in a lush garden. Every accommodation is individually decorated in tropical colors with antique poster beds, mahogany armoires and chests, color-co-ordinated linens, fresh flowers and all modern amenities.
In the Great House your room may have mahogany poster beds so high you need steps to get into them, or antique metal beds replete with colorful hangings. There is a storybook quality about these spacious, high-ceilinged rooms. You'll find richly carved armoires and chests, bathroom sinks set into mahogany sideboards, and many other unusual touches.
The villa bedrooms have a new look: color. Gone are the all-white rooms and in their place lovely mango, yellow, and azure walls form the background for brightly painted antique queen-size four poster metal beds, luscious new coordinated linen and, of course, great taste. The villas also feature soaring twenty-five foot ceilings with bulls-eye windows, large West Indian baths with a surprise: a mirror at one end. Very sexy. And of course, there's your very own secluded plunge swimming pool. Open a garden gate and sink your feet into the warm black and gold sand.
Dinner at The Golden Lemon may be served in the candle-lit pool side garden with natural music provided by the tree frogs accompanying Bach, Beethoven or Bill Evans; on the front terrace, a favourite spot for pre-dinner drinks and conversation with the owner and other guests; or in one of the most photographed romantic dining rooms in the Caribbean.
Lunch and Sunday Brunch are also served on the front gallery while full American breakfasts, included in the daily rate may be had in your room or villa, or served in bed if you like.
