Caribbean Hotels honeymoon
I can be a little demanding and I had a mission to create a honeymoon for my new bride to remember. I had a vague idea of where I wanted to go but that was it, so I gave The Just Group a call for a little help and advice. That was probably the best move I made. They took my vague idea and came up with a massive range of ideas and possibilities and were patient with me as I changed my mind every five minutes, but understood immediately what I was looking for.
Finally I had made a decision on my itinery
3 nights in Las Vegas, the home of nightlife. What a place, you need to see this just to make you believe it can exist.
3 days driving round the Grand Canyon. Take a flight over the Grand Canyon - it's a must - then get in the car and drive, drive, drive. It's the only way to see America. The Grand Canyon National Park is truly beautiful, and when we came through Williams, Arizona, we saw a REAL genuine Rodeo, the Hoover Dam is definitely a wonder of the world, it's overwhelming.
3 nights in Antigua. This is truly the place, the beaches are beautiful white sands with the most crystal clear blue/green ocean. The sunsets alone are worth the trip (especially on honeymoon). The apartment we had at Antigua Village was excellent with it's own pool and right on the beach with the most perfectly still and calm sea. If you want to get a little sporty there's jet skis, boat trips, BBQ days out or just relax with a cocktail on the beach. There is plenty to do inland as well with loads of colonial history like Nelsons Dockyard and Shirley Heights. If you like your sea a little more challenging there are more beaches and coves around Antigua than I can count, you can find virtually any sea condition you want. We hired a car and found our own private secluded rimantic beach for a lazy day in the sun. Wonderful.
2 nights in the neighbouring island of Dominica. What a place as different from Antigua as could be possible. This is an island for nature, astoundingly beautiful. The Evergreen Hotel right on the sea, was wonderful with excellent service. The Just Group had arranged for us to have guided tours around the island. When we arrived on the island, our local guide, Lambert, was there to welcome us - I cannot recommend this enough - he was brilliant. We saw waterfalls, the rain forest, met the last of the Carib Indians, and much, much, more. We saw places that we would never have found on our own deep in the rain forest and I swam in a waterfall, it was great. We also went whale watching which was a day to remember and a must do. Two nights was not enough, I need to go back.
After Dominica, we returned to the relaxing romantic beauty of Antigua for 3 nights to recover from the exertions of Dominica. We did not want to leave and in big part that was due to the efforts of The Just Group, who actually called us from the U.K. when we returned to Antigua to make sure everything was OK, now that is SERVICE.
The Caribbean hotels arranged for us were absolutely fabulous and we had a great time thanks to just caribbean villas
The Just Caribbean website on www.thejustgroupuk.com/justcaribbean was extremely helpful to us
