Caribbean Hotels business trip to St Lucia

In 2008 I had the good fortune to go to St Lucia on a business trip- it was not a Caribbean holiday! I flew into Hewannorra International Airport, where I was met by a representative of Barefoot Holidays who had transport to take me to the Rex St Lucian Hotel at Reduit Beach on the famous Rodney Bay in the north of the island. I enjoyed the drive immensely as the views of tropical forests, banana plantations, and the occasional breadfruit tree were fascinating. The hotel was in a superb location, and with many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Although my evening meals were included in my tariff, I took the opportunity to try four nearby restaurants and all were superb and atmospheric. Reception recommended Ave Taxi Service to me – a better recommendation could not have been given. Ave proved to be a godsend with his knowledge of the island, reliability, availability on a daily basis, and charging me very reasonable rates. I found everyone I met extremely helpful and anxious to please and I would particularly mention Fenna Williams at Coco Resorts, Katie Rosiak at Ti Kaye Village, Madame Chang at Almond Smugglers Cove, Karen Hunt of Tropical Villas, Bridget Charles of Bay Resorts, and Erwin Loosey of Bare Foot. Throughout my stay, which unfortunately was only seven days, the staff at Rex St Lucian were superb, nothing was too much trouble, and the friendliness and courtesy reminded me of days gone by in the United Kingdom. If you are considering going on a St Lucia holiday on business or pleasure and require a superb Caribbean hotel and accommodation in a Caribbean villa, I recommend you contact just caribbean villas. For flights, I had a competitive quote from Just Travel Services.
